Famiglia Rocca Vini Appassimento Rosso 2021 75cl is a rich and expressive red wine from Puglia in Italy, crafted from Negroamaro grapes using the traditional appassimento method. Hand-selected grapes are left to overripen on the vine before being dried for several weeks, concentrating flavour before fermentation and ageing in a mix of stainless steel and oak barrels.
Deep red in colour with subtle violet hues, it opens with an intense and complex bouquet of ripe strawberries, redcurrant and raspberry, layered with sweet spice and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, showing ripe red and black fruit flavours, smooth integrated tannins and rounded acidity, leading into a long, warming finish.
